How Skalvo works

Skalvo reviews what your audience responds to, defines the product with you, and handles the research, structure, design, development, customer delivery, and launch setup. You review the working product, request changes, and choose whether to take it over through a flat-rate build or continue with Skalvo through a managed partnership.

The shared product process

Every Skalvo project follows the same initial path. The working model does not change how the opportunity is evaluated or how the functional product is built and reviewed.
  1. 01

    Audience and opportunity review

We review your public content, audience response, recurring topics, existing offers, and relevant experience. This gives us the context needed to identify what could become a useful product.

  2. 02

    Product direction

We research possible directions and define a starting recommendation, including the intended customer, product purpose, format, structure, pricing direction, and launch approach.

  3. 03

    Discussion and alignment

We walk through the recommendation with you and adjust it using what you know about your audience, any ideas you already have, and your product, style, and delivery preferences.

  4. 04

    Functional build

Skalvo creates the product, customer experience, product page, checkout placement, protected access, delivery system, and required administrative controls. Creator-recorded material remains represented by placeholders during this stage.

  5. 05

    Review and revisions

We present the working product and its connected customer path. You can test it, ask questions, and request changes until it matches the expectations agreed for the product.

  6. 06

    Approval and working model

Once the product is approved, the project moves into either a flat-rate handover or a managed partnership. The following sections explain what changes under each model.

Review before commitment

Before a flat-rate project fee is collected or a managed partnership agreement is signed, you review the product in working form. The purpose is to let you judge the actual customer experience rather than commit based on a proposal or static design.

Revisions

You can test the experience, ask how each connected part works, and request the corrections or improvements needed to bring the product in line with the direction agreed during planning. The review continues until the product is ready for approval.

Approval

Approval confirms that the product direction and functional experience meet your expectations. The project can then move into flat-rate handover and payment or into a managed partnership agreement.

What you can review

  • The product structure, content, features, and navigation
  • The customer-facing product page
  • The planned checkout and purchase path
  • Protected customer access and product delivery
  • Administrative controls required to operate the product
  • The proposed launch and customer-support process

Creator material

If the finished product requires your videos, audio, images, or other recorded material, Skalvo prepares the scripts and builds their placements using placeholders. Recording begins after you approve the product and commit to a working model.

Two ways to continue

After the working product has been reviewed and approved, you choose how the project continues. The product can be handed over through a flat-rate build, or Skalvo can remain involved through a managed partnership.
01

Flat-rate build

Skalvo completes the agreed product, connected customer experience, launch setup, and administrative controls. You can review the functional build and request corrections or improvements until it matches the direction agreed during planning.

Once the finished product and full administrative access are in your hands, you pay the agreed project fee. Skalvo supports you through launch, and the product is then yours to operate independently.

02

Managed partnership

Skalvo continues working on the product after approval through the responsibilities agreed for the partnership. These may include management, support, updates, promotion, or continued development.

Instead of paying a flat project fee, the product operates under an agreed revenue share for the duration of the partnership. Some products may also require a small operational fee based on their build requirements. Any operational fee is explained and agreed before commitment.

How revenue sharing works

Managed-partnership payments are processed through Whop Checkout, which is embedded inside the product website. Customers complete their purchases without needing to leave the custom product experience.
  1. 01The product and its pricing are configured through Whop Checkout.
  2. 02The creator is invited into the product's Whop business and can view its sales activity.
  3. 03The agreed revenue percentage is configured for that product.
  4. 04When a payment succeeds, Whop deducts its applicable processing fees and automatically divides the remaining revenue.
  5. 05Each party's portion enters their own Whop balance. The creator and Skalvo manage and withdraw their funds separately.
  6. 06Skalvo cannot access, withdraw, transfer, or redirect funds assigned to the creator's balance.
  7. 07If a customer is refunded, the transaction is reversed according to the original revenue split, so each party covers its corresponding portion.

Why we use Whop

Whop is an online payments platform that provides checkout processing, revenue sharing, balances, and payouts. Skalvo uses Whop Checkout for managed partnerships because it makes payment management and revenue access straightforward for both Skalvo and the creator.

Through Whop's revenue-share feature, the agreed percentage is applied at the transaction level. The creator's portion is deposited into their Whop balance and Skalvo's portion is deposited into ours. Neither party receives or controls the other party's allocated funds.

Creator and Skalvo responsibilities

Building the product requires input from both sides, but the workload is divided clearly. Skalvo handles the product and operating systems. The creator provides audience context, feedback, approval, and the material that must come from them personally.

Skalvo handles

  • Reviewing the creator's public content and audience response
  • Researching and defining the recommended product direction
  • Structuring, designing, and developing the product
  • Building the customer-facing product page and experience
  • Connecting checkout, protected access, delivery, and administrative controls
  • Preparing scripts, recording instructions, and launch assets
  • Presenting the functional product and completing agreed revisions
  • Preparing and supporting the product launch

The creator handles

  • Sharing audience information or product ideas Skalvo cannot see publicly
  • Providing brand, style, product, and delivery preferences
  • Reviewing the functional product and requesting necessary changes
  • Approving the finished product and selecting a working model
  • Recording required video, audio, or other creator-specific material
  • Publishing the agreed launch and promotional content
  • Participating in the parts of the product or launch that require their personal presence

Decisions made together

The product direction, pricing, customer experience, launch timing, requested revisions, and commercial model are agreed together. Nothing is presented to the creator's audience before the creator has reviewed and approved it.

Why recording starts after commitment

During the functional build, Skalvo prepares scripts and uses placeholders. Recording begins after the creator approves the product and commits to a flat-rate build or managed partnership. For a flat-rate build, payment is collected only after recordings are integrated, the complete experience is ready, and full control is in the creator's hands.

Launch preparation and systems

Once the product is approved and the working model is confirmed, Skalvo prepares the product and creator for launch.

Trust priming

When appropriate, we prepare non-promotional content that introduces the product's subject naturally before the audience is asked to buy. Trust priming is only used when it fits the creator, product, and existing content.

Recording and launch assets

Skalvo prepares the required scripts, recording instructions, captions, calls to action, and supporting launch assets. Creator recording begins after the product has been approved and the creator has committed to a working model.

Checkout and customer experience

Before launch, we test the product page, Whop Checkout, payment confirmation, protected access, customer delivery, and support path. The complete purchase experience must work before the product is introduced publicly.

Launch preparation

We organize the content sequence, posting order, calls to action, creator responsibilities, and Skalvo responsibilities. The launch system is selected according to the product, audience, available material, and promotion required.

Launch and promotion

Skalvo helps introduce the product to the creator's audience, monitors the connected customer experience, and handles any agreed launch support. After the initial launch, continued promotion follows the selected working model.

After launch

What happens after launch depends on the working model selected for the product.

Flat-rate build

Skalvo supports the initial launch and helps confirm that the customer path, checkout, access, and delivery are working correctly. After launch, the creator takes over the product's administration and ongoing operation. Any later support, updates, promotion, or development would be discussed separately.

Managed partnership

Skalvo remains involved for the duration of the partnership through the responsibilities agreed before signing. Depending on the product, this may include customer support, technical maintenance, content updates, continued development, performance review, and future promotion.

Frequently asked questions

01Do I need to already have a product idea?
No. Skalvo can review your content, audience response, experience, and recurring topics to recommend a product direction. If you already have a product or an idea, we can assess whether it should be developed, improved, expanded, or rebuilt as a custom experience.
02When do I pay or sign an agreement?
You first review the product in working form. For a flat-rate build, payment is collected only after any required creator recordings have been integrated, the complete experience is ready, and full administrative access and control are in your hands. For a managed partnership, the agreement is introduced after you approve the product.
03Can I request changes after reviewing the product?
Yes. You can test the functional product, ask questions, and request corrections or improvements before approving it. The product should match the direction agreed during planning before the project continues.
04When do I need to record product or launch content?
Recording begins after you have reviewed and approved the functional product and committed to a working model. Until then, Skalvo prepares scripts and uses placeholders to represent creator-recorded material.
05Who controls the finished product and customer data?
Under a flat-rate build, you receive full administrative access and control of the finished product. Under both working models, the audience and customer data generated through your product remains yours. Skalvo only uses that data where necessary to operate the product and does not sell or withhold it.
06How long does it take to build and launch a product?
The timeline depends on the product's format, features, research requirements, revisions, and required creator material. Skalvo provides an expected timeline after the product direction and scope have been defined.
07How does Whop work in a managed partnership?
Whop Checkout processes customer payments inside the product website. After deducting applicable processing fees, Whop automatically allocates the agreed revenue percentage to each party's separate balance. Neither Skalvo nor the creator receives or controls the other party's allocated funds. Review Whop's revenue-sharing documentation.
08Are there operational fees under a managed partnership?
Some products may require a small operational fee because of their build or operating requirements. When one applies, it is explained and agreed before commitment. It is not introduced after the partnership begins without prior agreement.
